Bone: Volume 1, Out from Boneville tells the story of Phoncible “Phoney” Bone, Fone Bone, and Smiley Bone as they were run out of Boneville and stuck in the desert. They get separated, and Foen Bone is forced to rely on creatures in the valley to help him look for his cousins. Rat Creatures, a red dragon, possums, and leaf bugs all work together to help, but Fone Bone soon finds that danger lurks in the forest and that family, even when bad, is something that is very important. There are nine total Bone books in the series with supplemental materials available as well.
