Merlin Bird ID App

There are several phone apps available that will help you find and identify birds. The one we recommend is the free Merlin app, created by Cornell Ornithology Lab. It will help you identify birds by description, by photo or by song. You will need to download a "bird pack" for the area you're exploring (for Davenport you'll want to install the "US: Midwest" pack) and then you're ready to explore!
